Dance Teacher Resumé
Objective
While I consider myself to be a dance performer first, I also aspire to be a dance educator. The arts, especially dance, are so important to my entire upbringing as an artist because it gave me a sense of discipline and self-awareness. Using my foundation in ballet training and my knowledge of dance forms such as Horton and Graham, I would like to spread this same kind of awareness to underprivileged communities where there is a lack of exposure. This mission is important to me because in many underprivileged communities there is no representation of success to motivate the youth. I plan to do this with the same foundation I had with ballet training and from there I would like to broaden my knowledge of other dance genres in order to educate my students in the many techniques of dance.
