My goal as a performer is to be a versatile mover with the ability to transform myself into many different characters. Through my expression of movement I strive to appeal and relate to the audience, whether they have dance experience or not.
It is my duty as an artist to constantly reevaluate my contributions to the world, and as a dancer it is most important to strive for transparency to properly tell a story.
When I perform, my intention is to create representation for younger dancers of color that may see me as a role model. I also strive to stand out and engage the audience, to inspire them to do better in the things that they endeavor in their daily lives. My career goals are to be a part of a company that informs audiences and brings awareness to the African American culture with the influences from ballet and African dance techniques.
