Peaches and Cream Knit Tank

This fashionable tank was inspired by a ravelry pattern created by Jess Schreibstein! My friend was making one and I thought it was one of the cutest things so I decided to purchase the pattern as well. This is probably one of the only times I will spend money on a knitting pattern ($8). I think the feeling of paying for a pattern is the same feeling most people get when paying for an app from the App Store. "Why would I pick this one when there are so many free options?!" In this case there actually was not another option. Overall I paid way more for this project than I would for any item of clothing but I can say it was worth it. When it comes to my style I can be very

particular about the things that can make or break an outfit. Since I was actually making this, it is up to me if I'm going to want to wear this item more than once. We've probably all been there where we bought something because at the time it was so cute but now you pass it in your closet because you wouldn't dare wear it out in public. I didn't want this to be one of those items. So I spent the money and so far NO REGRETS! More than anything it made me realize my ability to knit something other than the usual hat or scarf or pair of socks. If my heart so desired I could knit all my clothes and nobody could tell me anything haha. But I wouldn't do that because I would go broke faster than I could knit the clothes 😂. But on a more serious note this knit tank was actually very simple to make and I don't remember it taking me very long. The only part that caught me off guard a little is the straps because I had to do some research on what an i-cord is (Youtube was very helpful in this regard). So once you follow the pattern and knit both sides of the tank you just sew them together. This might be a bit of a stretch but if you were short on time for a gift for someone and wanted to pay the money(for yarn and materials) you could make this in about two hours, maybe less if you don't get as distracted as I do. I told you it was a stretch..haha! But this tank is really fun to wear and easy to pair up. Although it is knit it does not get too hot and as you can see most of your body isn't covered anyways. I decided to make mine a bit of crop but obviously you can make yours to any desired length. You could make it a dress if you want (which just gave me an idea to make one 😉) It is one of those items that you will want in every color so you could wear it all seven days of the week. If you do decide to take on this project send me your final products; I'd love to see how they turn out :)
